Every May, descendents of settlers along with more recent arrivals celebrate Fredericksburg’s heritage with Founders Day at the Pioneer Museum.
Festivities begin with a morning wreath laying ceremony at Marktplatz, near the Vereins Kirche, to honor the founding families of Fredericksburg who came under the leadership of John O. Meusebach on May 8, 1846.
Celebrations continue at the Pioneer Museum with hands-on activities and historical demonstrations including Buffalo Soldiers, stone cutting, blacksmiths, quilting, rope making, and more!
Come Join Us!
