GERMAN MEAL

Enjoy a homemade German meal prepared by our local volunteers and served either in our Social Hall or out on the grounds of the Museum.  The German meal is offered by itself or in conjunction with the tours.  The menu includes Opa’s sausage, German potato salad, sauerkraut, homemade bread, dessert, tea and coffee. 

Cost: $15 per person – 15 person minimum.  Two complimentary meals.  Price does not include admission.  Deposit is $100 to hold the date.  We request at least 30-days advance notice.  (50% of deposit is refunded if cancelled 30 days or more from hold date.  Deposit is not refunded if cancelled less than 30 days from hold date.)  

CUSTOM HOME TOUR

Let us customize an itinerary of local points of interest - including homes, churches, country schools, cemeteries, historic sites - all shaped to meet the needs of your group. Custom tours include the German Meal for a complete Fredericksburg historic experience.

SCHOOL TOURS

School tours are available for students from preschool through college.  Let us customize an itinerary to fit the time and needs of the individual class, for a memorable lesson.  

Cost: All Gillespie County school groups are free for the basic tour.  School groups outside of Gillespie County are $3.50 per person with 1 complimentary adult ticket per 10 students. 

GROUP TOURS

Give your group the complete experience of all the Pioneer Museum has to offer. Our guides will interpret all of the buildings and enhance appreciation of exhibits, with helpful information and a personal touch.
Cost: $4.50 per person – 15 person minimum.  Deposit-50% of tour cost.

**Hands on Activities: For an additional $5.00 per admission, you can add hands on activities to your tour such as: rope making, quilting, games of yesterday, one-room school lessons, churning butter, washing clothes with a scrub board, seed art and making corn husk dolls.
