“POPS” showcases Pioneer Museum and local event vendors The Gillespie County Historical Society and The Marquee Event Group are inviting the public to a brand new event - the Pioneer Opportunities Party Showcase (POPS) at the Main Street museum in Fredericksburg on September 17. According to the Co-Chairs Brent Waldoch and Janie Trantham, POPS has three objectives:
The Marquee Event Group will provide the tents, dance floor, band area, luxury loo, air-conditioned tent, tables, chairs, and linens. Thirty-six vendors will set up booths under tents to show their products and services, including caterers, florists, spas, photographers, event coordinators, motivational speakers, venue owners, and other businesses that provide services for events. Live entertainers will rotate on the covered stage every 45 minutes. POPS is designed to attract event, corporate and wedding planners from across the state, along with individuals seeking a venue that accommodates from 12 to 1,500 for reunions, birthday parties, anniversary parties, board meetings, or other special event. Organizers expect as many as 1000 to attend. The daytime event runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Pioneer Museum, 325 West Main, Fredericksburg TX. Admission to the POPS daytime event is open to the public for $5 per person. As a separate part of the event, a POPS Party will follow from 6:30 - 9:30 p.m. in the air-conditioned tent with a full three-course meal, catered by the five preferred caterers, music by the Bill Smallwood Band, with beer and wine served. Admission to the POPS Party is on a "reserved only" basis with the charge of $40 per person.
