Our Wish List

Please help us fund our newest projects to inspire more visitors on the west end of Main Street.

The Vereins Kirche is the symbol of Fredericksburg. More than 2,000 people a week peek in the doors. We want to make it an invitation and enticement to visit the Pioneer Museum down the street. To do that, we need large informational panels to place inside the Museum that depict the culture and panorama of exhibits on display. The estimated cost of this project is $15,000, and we are looking for sponsors to help fund it. Sponsors of this program will receive a place on a plaque in the Vereins Kirche for their monetary donations over $1,000.

Another phase for our enhancement of the Pioneer Museum is to have a Self-Guided Audio Tour System installed along with new signage for the buildings. We want to record our knowledgeable tour guides to preserve their stories, as well as preserve the stories of the families who lived and worked in the historic buildings comprising the Pioneer Museum complex. Oral history recordings enable visitors to tour the grounds at their own pace and listen to the recordings specific to the numbered exhibit they are viewing. We anticipate this project to cost $20,000 and sponsors donating over $1,000 will be recognized.
