The video "Texas German Heritage" is a part of a project for NBC Learn, the educational arm of NBC News. The series of videos, including this one about the history of German heritage in Texas, will be shown in classrooms across the country.

Participating Pioneer Museum staff members were Evelyn Weinheimer and Laverne Boos. During the video, Evelyn talked about the history of Fredericksburg and the history of the German emigration in general. Some of the GCHS buildings are featured during the script about New Braunfels. Pioneer Museum volunteers, Buddy Frels and Danny Poole, demonstrated the pioneer activity of ropemaking.
